LocalPixPrivacy Policy
The short version: LocalPix creates and edits images entirely on your device. Your prompts, your photos and the images you create are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. To keep the app running and improving, LocalPix uses a small number of trusted services for purchases, app analytics and measuring our ads. This policy explains exactly what they receive.
What stays on your device
All image generation and AI photo editing runs locally on your iPhone or iPad using on-device AI models. Your prompts, generated images, edited photos and your gallery are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded, analyzed on a server or shared. After a model is downloaded, LocalPix works completely offline.
No accounts
LocalPix does not require or offer an account. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number inside the app.
App analytics (Google Firebase)
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to fix problems. It receives:
- Usage events, such as app opens, paywall views, model downloads, the number of images generated and how long generation took, along with the model and style used. These events never contain your prompts, photos or images.
- Purchase events: the product, price and currency of an in-app purchase or trial.
- Device and app information: device model, operating system, app version, language and an approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address.
- A random app instance identifier and an anonymous, randomly generated user identifier (the same anonymous identifier used for purchases, see below).
Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy. Analytics data is kept only as long as necessary, in line with Google Analytics retention settings.
Advertising measurement and App Tracking Transparency
We run ads for LocalPix on other apps and websites (for example Google Ads and Apple Search Ads) and measure which ads lead to installs and purchases.
- If you allow tracking when iOS asks (App Tracking Transparency), your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) may be shared with Google through Firebase so that Google Ads can attribute installs and purchases to our campaigns.
- If you don't allow tracking, the advertising identifier is not collected. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Apple Search Ads attribution uses Apple's AdServices framework, which provides an attribution token that does not identify you personally and does not require tracking permission. It is sent to RevenueCat so we can see which Apple Search Ads campaigns lead to purchases.
We never sell your personal information.
Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)
All payments are processed by Apple; we never see your payment details. To unlock and restore what you bought, LocalPix uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated user identifier, your App Store purchase and transaction information, basic device and app information, the Firebase app instance identifier (to connect purchases with analytics) and the Apple Search Ads attribution token described above. It never receives your name, email address or Apple Account. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Model downloads
AI models are downloaded from Hugging Face the first time you use them. These are standard file downloads; like any internet request they reveal your IP address to the host, but no personal information is attached. See the Hugging Face Privacy Policy.
Photos access
If you use AI Edit, you choose a photo and LocalPix processes it entirely on your device. When you save an image to your photo library, LocalPix asks only for permission to add photos.
Your choices and rights
- Turn off tracking for LocalPix at any time in iOS Settings.
- Deleting the app removes all prompts, images and models stored on your device.
- Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Contact us from Settings > Contact support in the app: the email it prepares includes your anonymous identifier, which lets us find the data linked to it.
Children
LocalPix is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the update on this page with a new date.
